Manuscript Submissions
Yes! We welcome unsolicited manuscripts from both new and established authors. We review all submissions that follow our guidelines. Please ensure your manuscript is complete and professionally formatted before submitting.
Our initial review process typically takes 4-6 weeks. If your manuscript is selected for further consideration, we'll contact you within this timeframe. Due to the high volume of submissions, we can only respond to manuscripts that meet our publishing criteria.
We publish a wide range of genres including literary fiction, science fiction, fantasy, mystery, thriller, romance, historical fiction, young adult, business, self-help, biography, and general non-fiction. We're always open to exceptional works that may not fit traditional categories.
For novels, we require a minimum of 50,000 words. Manuscripts should be double-spaced, in 12pt Times New Roman font, and submitted as .docx or .pdf files. Include a synopsis, author bio, and cover letter. For non-fiction, please submit a detailed proposal with sample chapters.
We prefer that you submit one manuscript at a time. This allows us to give each work the attention it deserves. If you have multiple projects, please wait for a response on your first submission before sending additional manuscripts.
Publishing Process
Once accepted, we'll send you a publishing contract outlining terms, royalties, and timeline. Your manuscript will go through developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading. We'll work with you on cover design and marketing strategy. The entire process typically takes 6-12 months from contract to publication.
From contract signing to publication, the process typically takes 6-12 months. This includes editing (2-4 months), design and layout (1-2 months), printing and distribution setup (1-2 months), and marketing preparation. Complex projects or extensive revisions may extend this timeline.
Yes, authors maintain significant creative control. While we may suggest edits for clarity, marketability, or quality, all major changes require your approval. You'll have input on cover design, marketing copy, and promotional strategies. We believe in collaborative partnerships with our authors.
We typically publish books in multiple formats: print (hardcover and/or paperback), eBook (Kindle, Apple Books, etc.), and often audiobook. The specific formats depend on your book's genre, target audience, and market potential. We'll discuss format options during the contract negotiation.
Royalties & Rights
Authors receive royalties based on net sales. Typical rates are 10-15% for print books and 15-25% for eBooks, though rates vary by format and sales volume. Royalties are paid quarterly, and you'll receive detailed sales reports. We also offer competitive advance payments for accepted manuscripts.
Yes, we offer advance payments against future royalties for accepted manuscripts. The advance amount depends on factors such as the book's commercial potential, genre, and the author's track record. Advances are recouped from royalty earnings before additional payments begin.
Authors retain copyright ownership of their work. We acquire publishing rights for specific formats and territories as outlined in the contract. Rights can include print, digital, audiobook, and sometimes subsidiary rights like film or translation. All rights arrangements are clearly specified in your publishing agreement.
Royalty payments begin once your advance (if any) is recouped through sales. Payments are made quarterly, typically 90 days after the end of each quarter. You'll receive detailed statements showing sales figures, returns, and royalty calculations for complete transparency.
